Saab's GAMER Deployable CTC is an instrumented training system, enabling the military to train on home bases and rapidly deploy worldwide for any training mission. The system is modular and scaleable to support exercises of all types and all levels. It supports live force-on-force collective training in open and urban environments and is flexible for use from squad/section and platoon level right up to Brigade Combat Team level.

Conducting IED training with just pyro or CO2 based devices covers only the effect portion. Instead of having a referee interrupting the battle flow, guessing the outcome, IED training should be a seamless, integrated part of a normal tactical exercise. Saab’s IED simulator family offers such integration, from effect to tactical training equipment.

Training and preparation for real missions with all involved assets and capabilities, simultaneously, have not been possible – until now. With Saab’s Integrated Training Environment the problem of interoperability between different simulation and training systems is solved. Our solution provides the capability to integrate without changing anything in the systems, regardless of communication protocols. By using an appropriate plug-in driver different systems can communicate and exchange information. All without writing a single line of code, just by configuration, e.g. “drag and drop” in a graphical user interface.

The ability to survive real combat requires preparation from live-fire training. LOMAH is a general-purpose system for infantry weapon and tank gunnery weapon training to detect supersonic projectiles and determine trajectory parameters, identities, origins, and impact points. The same equipment can also provide both fixed, portable and near miss system capabilities.
