Visit of important supplier
A management review meeting between Saab Aerostructures and their supplier, Groupe Mecachrome was held on February 19th. The company is an important subcontractor that has among other things delivered the spars to the A380 MOLE (mid and outer fixed leading edge).
The purpose of the review meeting between two companies is, that during a day, go through both companies current status from a management perspective and to look into possible future cooperation.

- It is important to have such meetings on a frequent basis to develop the relationship as well as the mutual performance, said Mikael Heelge, Vice President for Procurement.
Group Mecachrome employs about 1900 persons in France and Canada. The company has made themselves a "niche" as a supplier of long bed machined parts and it also does assembling. The company produces details for car engines and among them some well known Formel-1 engines.
- We co-operate well and it´s more like a partnership. We are now supplier of several Airbus-program to Saab Aerostructures and I am looking forward to be working together in the future, said Groupe Mecachromes General Manager, J.P Le Pallec.
In 1998 Group Mecachrome was chosen as a supplier of integral machine articles to the floor structure in the A340 program. The relationship between the companies has since then improved.
