When it comes to the field of aerostructures, we know one thing for sure; we will have to develop lighter and more cost effective structures. That is why Saab, together with aviation companies, as well as universities and research institutions all over Europe, participates in ALCAS, Advanced Low Cost Aircraft Structures, with the aim of developing new applications from composite.
We also believe that the future will involve even more international way of working. Today, we work with sub-contractors from all over the world and recently we extended our cooperation with Romania by signing a contract with the Romanian aircraft manufacturer Romaero A.S. The contract, a long-term agreement regarding cooperation in the manufacture of subassemblies and components for the aircraft industry, strengthens the commercial relations between the two companies.
In order to be successful in the aerostructures industry in the future, it is necessary to be competitive in all areas of the business. In order to further improve our qualities, we have recently introduced autonomous machines in production. In this way, we can utilize our resources 24 hours a day in order to enhance our competitiveness.
Whatever challenges the future brings, Saab Aerostructures extensive experience from the aviation industry and our uniquely dedicated team of co-workers makes me feel comfortable. We are a partner standing behind our customers all the way.
