Recently all our three work packages for A340 passed delivery of shipset number 100. The last years we have been delivering all packages on time, something that has made us considered as a serious and reliable partner who keeps its promises.

Saab Aerostructures is always in the forefront when it comes to using the latest technology. Recently we invested in an automatic tape laying machine. Read more in this issue how we will meet the requirements of tomorrow’s aircraft structures, and how we continuously improve our methods to remain competitive.

I am also happy to announce a major milestone reached; the first Saab-component, a mid and outer leading edge (MOLE), for the freighter version of Airbus A380 was installed in jig, exactly on schedule. This was an important step in the manufacture of the A380F for Airbus and for ourselves. Please visit our website to view pictures of the first MOLE in jig.
