Saab Aerostructures at Aerospace Testing Expo in Hamburg.
The Aerospace Testing Expo 2004 opens in Hamburg next week. Saab Aerostructures is on site exhibiting in Hamburg with a team, focusing on structural testing.
In this second issue of the Company News Brief from Saab Aerostructures, we have therefore concentrated on the structural testing operations within the company. You will find information both on the structural testing operations at Saab Aerostructures and about the team on site in Hamburg.
Structural testing is an important part in our portfolio of skills as a total solution provider and Saab has, for more than 50 years, performed both static and dynamic structural testing of objects ranging from small test specimens and components up to complete airframes.

Saab Aerostructures at Aerospace Testing Expo, Hamburg
At the end of March the Aerospace Testing Expo 2004 opens in Hamburg.
The exhibition is directed to companies that deal with different kinds of test in the flight and space area, and Saab Aerostructures is on site in Hamburg.

Gripen fatigue test
Since November 2003 fatigue tests has been performed on a Gripen aircraft. The test is a completed series fuselage, but without fin and wings and is the equivalent of a two-seater aircraft, 39D.
In order to guard Gripen flight safety, this fuselage will for years to come be exposed to "simulated flying".

Structural testing makes Saab Aerostructures operations complete
