Company News Brief 2/2007

Very welcome to a new issue of Saab Aerostructures Company News Brief, our bimonthly newsletter.

It is worth repeating that the world is constantly changing, and Saab has to change with it. For me and my colleagues at Saab Aerostructures it is reflected in many areas. We have always been a company that embraces change and we are proud to say we are successful in adapting quickly. For some time we have worked with making some major modifications to our production system, and the aim is of course to increase our competitiveness as a player on the international aerostructures market. Read more about our pulsed production in this issue.

As a proof of this we recently delivered our first redesigned aileron to Airbus single Aisle family, this major milestone which was appreciated by our customer is also described in this newsletter.

The needs of the customer are always our main focus, may it be in pulsed production or in “single unit production” as it is in our production of the European UCAV- project Neuron. Either way we always work with standardising the mode of operation, eliminating waste and create constant flow, read more about our state of the art solutions for Neuron in Saab Aerostructures Company News Brief.

Saab Aerostructures will be at Paris Air Show with a small management team. You will find more information regarding this in or special “Le Bourget” issue next month.

The stage is set for the future- see you all there!

Pontus Kallén, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Saab Aerostructures
