Welcome to the fifth edition of Saab Aerostructures Company News Brief

Saab Aerostructures have always been open to adopting new technologies. As a player on the advanced aerostructures market, we also have to adopt to the changing world we live in. We have a proven successful record in developing new technologies together with our customers. In this issue of the Company News Brief we will show you some examples of what we do to further improve our abilities, and thereby become an even better partner and supplier to our customers.

Saab Aerostructures is at the front edge when it comes to composite, read more about our investment in machine equipment for non-destructive testing. We are also on our way to a Nadcap-certification. Saab Aerostructures invests for the future

Composite is becoming a more common and more important material in airplane manufacturing. Saab Aerostructures is at the front edge when it comes to composite development and manufacturing, and it is an area we believe in and that we are investing greatly in. One example is the investment in new machine equipment for non-destructive testing. The equipment is used for inspection of composite components and bonded components and the supplier is the German firm Nutronik.

Altered Organizational Behavior success factor for Saab Aerostructures

Saab Aerostructures sees its leaders’ and employees’ competence and commitment as important success factors. The business unit has recently been involved in an active undertaking to develop the leaders and employees, all with the purpose of improving the ability to compete. The effort, in which a common set of values have been defined for the business unit among other things, goes by the name Altered Organizational Behavior.

Saab Aerostructures on the way to Nadcap-certification

Saab Aerostructures is concentrating on standardizing and simplifying processes. All in order to improve ways of working, and become more cost-effective. One example is the ongoing work towards the EN9100-certification of the quality management system, another is the Nadcap-certification. During this year, Saab Aerostructures has done a lot of work to define what needs to be changed in the organization in order to get a Nadcap-certification. Now the work to make these changes has started. PRI is the organization that defines the process requirements and distributes the certificates.
