Welcome to the sixth issue of Saab Aerostructures Company News Brief
In our continuous efforts to bring the future in aerostructures, a new chapter is written. In this issue I have the pleasure to introduce you to our latest work-package, the Crew Entrance Door for A400M, for which we signed an agreement with Airbus this week. This last achievement shows that we are one of the important players in this encouraging business. While taking on new business we also take care of the acquired - I will therefore give you an update on our latest achievements in the NH90 program.
The operational results are of course of utmost importance but the results in the operation are to a high extent depending on human performance. In addition to many other activities we practice to develop Saab Aerostructures, each and every individual employee have the possibility to apply for a grant or scholarship from an independent fund created by Mr. Tryggve Holm, former CEO of Saab AB. Learn about one of our warehouse operators whose application was positively received and resulted in an educational visit to our partner Denel Aviation in South Africa.

Saab Aerostructures strengthens cooperation with Airbus
Since 1997, the cooperation with Airbus has become a cornerstone in Saab Aerostructures operations. With the contract signing on 29 November, where Saab and Airbus signed an agreement regarding development and production of the crew entrance door for the A400M military cargo transport aircraft, Saab Aerostructures position as a supplier to Airbus is further strengthened.

Production of forward fuselages for the NH90 in progress
Saab Aerostructures has now completed the production of the first three forward fuselages of the NH90 helicopter for Eurocopter. A total of 270 forward fuselages for the helicopter will be delivered by Saab Aerostructures. The NH90 is a new product for Saab Aerostructures and entails new methods and technology.

Grant for further education
Employees at Saab have the opportunity to apply for a grant from the Tryggve Holms 70th birthday employee foundation for further education. Anette Oscarsson, warehouse operator at Saab Aerostructures, took the opportunity and applied for the grant. Her application was positively received and resulted in a trip to sub-supplier Denel in South Africa.
