Simulators

Saab has considerable expertise in designing and building simulators tailored to customer needs. Our solutions satisfy the highest requirements of cost-effective flight safety training for both aircrew and ground crew. Cost-effective tailoring is achieved by reusing components with appropriate fidelity, complexity and cost levels from existing simulators or actual systems. Two of the components used are our Image Generator Software for 3D visualization and our tactical simulator software that provide simulators with tactical environments.
All our products and systems are dynamic, scalable and modular, which means we can provide a wide range of applications - from basic desktop solutions for partial task training to high fidelity full-mission simulators designed to meet advanced training needs. 

Simulator Operations

Saab can support your simulation operations throughout the entire process by providing support, repairs and maintenance. Our commitment can comprise everything from operating an individual simulator to overall responsibility for simulator operations at larger training facilities. Or coordinating your simulator resources with computers, networks, maintenance or other services. Saab has extensive experience in operating simulators in a cost-effective manner, making operations more reliable and affordable, while helping our customers to focus on their core activities.

Mission Support System

The Mission Support System is a software that combines mission, planning, rehearsal and evaluation capabilities into a single system. It is a modular, customized system built with COTS hardware and primarily designed for airborne platforms. Whether used for real or simulated missions, it makes mission planning easier and more efficient. It is also an effective tool for evaluating and analyzing entire missions. Before a mission, the support system can provide immediate information, vital to situation awareness. After a mission, it can be used to compile mission data and information, utilized to increase situation awareness even further.

System for Geographical Data Management and Generation of Correlated Databases

This is a tool developed for generating geographical databases. The system is designed to provide correlated geographical data for entire aircraft systems, including support systems such as simulators and mission support systems. It is a unique system since it generates all existing geographical databases in a correlated manner. Saab provides entire systems as well as separate databases.
