Saab Aircraft Leasing is a major player in the regional aircraft market and manages a large portfolio of more than 200 Saab 340 and Saab 2000 aircraft.

The aircraft are leased to customers worldwide, although most are in service with large regional carriers in North America, Europe and Australia. We have three offices strategically placed, with our headquarters in Washington DC and regional offices in Stockholm and Tokyo.

Mission

Saab Aircraft Leasing’s mission is to ensure that the portfolio aircraft are generating revenue, through sound lease agreements and by minimizing the aircraft downtime between leases. The process of remarketing aircraft requires a good sense of timing, careful planning and decision making. Furthermore, it is imperative to be attentive to market developments, not only by spotting trends and making analyses, but also by generating forecasts.
The organisation has a diverse team, comprising highly experienced and qualified staff within the Legal, Commercial, Credit, Technical, Sales & Marketing and Contracts & Administration departments, ensuring the broad capabilities required for handling complex aircraft transactions.

Long and lasting history

Saab has been in the regional aircraft business for over 30 years, and has a good standing in the commercial aircraft market. Since 1997 Saab Aircraft Leasing has been a dedicated aircraft portfolio company within the Saab group, providing us with an important trademark and global credibility.  Thus customers expect high quality and ethical standards when interacting with a Saab entity, something we take very seriously in our daily business. We believe this gives us an edge over competition.

Customers worlwide

Annually we handle between 20 and 30 aircraft transactions with customers worldwide, from local airlines to large global airlines. Each aircraft transaction is tailored specifically for each customer, and many return to us for additional aircraft or to upgrade their fleet as their business expands. We value our customer relationships and cherish long term business relations.
