Environmental report

Since 2002, Saab Bofors Dynamics has been certified according to ISO 14001 regarding external environment by Det Norske Veritas. Environmental management is integrated into all parts of our management system.

Our largest sources of carbon dioxide emissions 2007

4/29/2008 | Our greatest environmental impact is the emission of carbon dioxide which contributes to global warming. The most significant sources of carbon dioxide emissions within our operations are heating consumption and transport where heating is the greatest environmental load. See the image below. We have reduced our total heating use in the last few years and we are working actively on this, in the long term.  

All employees have access to our chemical database which contains information about all chemicals used in the company and therefore we have good control over chemical handling. We have a controlled working method for interpreting and application of legal requirements. We fulfil the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer.

We work systematically with environmentally adapted product development.

Several of our most important environmentally related objectives are:

·        Reducing the environmental impact of staff transport

·        Reducing energy consumption
