Saab Space has one of Europe’s most modern and best-equipped facilities for production of high-quality electronics offering both single-unit and volume production of more demanding electronics products.
Cleanroom
In our 3 000 m2 class 100 000/10 000 clean room environment, we house everything from procurement & incoming inspection of parts to environmental testing of assembled equipments. An integrated MPC tool keeps track of the products, and the components they consist of, throughout the complete design and manufacturing cycle.
Manufacturing volume
The facility handles production of digital and analogue electronics as well as microwave receivers and small antennas. The facility today produces around 700 Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) a year for space resulting in between 75 and 150 assembled equipments for delivery. In addition 5 000 PCBs for defence products and 10 000 PCBs for telecom products are produced per year.
We continuously adopt new technologies to further automate our production resources and minimize the number of steps in our processes. To help our customers stay competitive, we match ourselves with the production efficiency of high-volume commercial and military electronics manufacturers, while at the same time maintaining our lead in the space industry when it comes to equipment reliability.
Well-educated personnel
We conduct extensive programs for the training and certification of all our employees and we use a computerized quality system to help our employees to continuously improve quality at all levels.
