Organisation

The Saab Training Systems headquarters is at Huskvarna, Sweden. We also have offices in Stockholm and Helsingborg. Subsidiary companies are located in the USA, UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada.

Saab Training Systems has four business areas: Tactical Training, Gunnery and Skills Training, Live Fire Training and the USA geographical business area.

The business areas have been created to meet our customers’ training requirements. Each business area boasts a very high level of competence when it comes to development of new applications, market and sales-related resources and customer support.

Gunnery and Skills Training

The Gunnery and Skills Training business area is responsible for systems engineering, and the marketing and sale of training systems for infantry, antitank, vehicle, helicopter, support and training concepts for customers. It also provides aftermarket support for products and services, such as repairs and spare parts.
This business area focuses on deals involving simulator-supported training up to platoon level and application deliveries.

Tactical Training

The Tactical Training business area is responsible for systems engineering and applications, programs and marketing and sales of tactical training products. This area is also concerned with the support, testing and installation of systems, in the main, total concepts for complete combat training facilities, stationary or mobile.

The focus is on deals involving simulator-supported tactical training from a “turnkey perspective”, aimed at company level and upward.

Live Fire Training

The Live Fire Training business area is responsible for development, production, marketing and sales of target materiel for training with live ammunition as well as target materiel for laser firing. Responsible for designing the basic products and the overall concept as per the customer’s requirements and technical capabilities on all markets for both fixed installations and mobile solutions. Develops customer support deals at installed bases, employing its own resources or in partnership with an established company.

The L business area focuses on all applications where the customer requires a realistic representation of a threat in the form of mobile and stationary targets. As the targets can be equipped with various hit transmitters for everything from lasers to live ammunition, all the different stages of training can be supported by the business area’s products.

USA

The USA business area is responsible for focusing on deals in the USA and US Government worldwide as well as customer support, in conjunction with the other business areas.

Subsidiary Saab Training LLC is responsible for development of the American market, technical application work for specific customers, and marketing/sales of the company’s product range.
