Focus on diversity

For Saab, diversity is about utilising all the skills its employees offer and recognising and promoting the differences naturally found in an international organisation.

It also means capitalising on the diversity inherited from the various companies that make up today’s Saab. Part of this work is to hire more women and increase the number of female managers. It is a challenge shared by many companies, but especially ones with so many engineers.

A proactive approach

Saab has taken a proactive approach not only internally but also in helping to encourage women to study engineering. In South Africa, Saab has sought to hire employees from groups that have previously been unfairly treated in the labour market and is working actively to support them.
