Saab in the top 10
On Wednesday, the results for the 125 largest companies in Scandinavia were published and Maud Olofsson, Minister for Trade, was among the speakers. Saab was among the ten best companies.
“It shows that Saab has high levels of ambition, is aware as a company and has a long-term and serious policy to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide”, says the Group Environmental Director, Kenth Algotsson.
Other companies with high marks were Ericsson, Cloetta Fazer and Fortum.
Works actively to reduce environmental impact
The climate report covers the threats and opportunities that climate changes have for Saab’s operations. The threats include a global reduction in air traffic due to raised environmental demands. However, Saab is working actively to reduce the environmental impact of air traffic. As one of the participants in the European aerospace co-operation project Clean Sky, the goal is to achieve long-term, sustainable air traffic through technical solutions.
A number of opportunities for more efficient flows
Climate changes require all community resources to be used more efficiently. A number of opportunities can be found in Saab’s products and systems for more effective flow of material and information, monitoring and control, and lightweight designs that reduce energy consumption.
