Saab wins Canadian Navy service contract
Saab has been awarded a service contract for the support, repair and overhaul of the Canadian Navy’s Sea Giraffe 150 HC, a surveillance radar installed on the Halifax Class Frigates.

The Saab Sea Giraffe 150 HC, installed in vessels of all sizes, from fast patrol craft up to frigates, is a multi-role naval radar system featuring functions for air search, surface search and target designation in a single radar.
Approximately 40 Saab Sea Giraffe 150 HC systems have been sold to customers worldwide.

A six year contract
The contract is worth approximately 16 Million Euros and includes the repair and overhaul of the Canadian Navy’s 14 Sea Giraffe 150 HC, over six years. Saab Microwave Canada will provide the Canadian Navy with individual radar component repairs, complete system overhauls and the associated technical support and management.
