• A tough economic climate together with significantly reduced production volumes within the aerostructures business is impacting the company.
• The Aeronuatics segment will be reorganized.
• A review of the complete Saab organisation will be made and more cutbacks can not be ruled-out.
• Saab is giving notice of lay-offs of 300 employees at Saab AB in Linköping, Sweden.
• The notice of lay-offs of 300 employees is in addition to the 500 jobs already announced within the efficiency programme.
• The financial report shows a loss for the first quarter, however sales increased.
• The outlook for the year remains.
• The strategy to increase international business and to grow within civil security remains, however the challenge to finance this continued growth remain.
