SOLSCONS

SOLSCONS significantly reduces solar heating of the Warfighter and obstructs thermal and visual reconnaissance by enemy forces, including snipers, while allowing outward observation by the user.

The Solar Shading and Concealment System, or SOLSCONS, is available for a variety of vehicles.

Multispectral

SOLSCONS are built using Saab Barracuda LLC’s Ultra Lightweight Camouflage Net materials – the same materials used to construct more than 400,000 multispectral net systems for the U.S. Armed Forces. SOLSCONS’ multispectral characteristics include visual, near infrared, thermal infrared and radar properties.

Adaptable and Proven

Systems are available in desert and woodland colors, and can be designed to meet end user specifications. Innovative bracket systems, which enable rapid deployment and stowage, can be adapted to any military vehicle. SOLSCONS is currently in use on the Abrams, HMMWV, Stryker, Bradley IFV and M88 Hercules.
