Camouflage systems for the U.S. Army

Saab’s Ultra Lightweight Camouflage Net Systems, now ordered by the U.S. Department of Defense, provides protection against visual, near infrared, thermal infrared and broad-band radar threats.

Saab has won two Department of Defense contracts to produce and deliver Ultra Lightweight Camouflage Net Systems (ULCANS) for use by the U.S. Army.

ULCANS represents the most advanced camouflage technology available on the market today. The system are used for hiding military objects while in a static position and enhances force survivability by providing protection against visual, near infrared, thermal infrared and broad-band radar threats.

The best signature management available

Saab already delivers signature management products for the U.S Department of Defense as well as other U.S. Government agencies.

The two new contracts have an order value of MUSD 18.4.

The production will be located at Saab Barracudas facilities in Lillington, North Carolina, USA, and delivery of the systems will begin in December 2009 and continue through the summer of 2010.
